I’m not doing this alone. I’ve already had a lot of help. And I’m finding inspiration everywhere.

“No heart has ever been perfect, but they’re still beautiful.” ~Howard Cohen

Howard Cohen was the first artist I worked with for Burning Man. I met him during what was then “early entry”, and is now “build week”, in 2002. I started helping build the Desert Nose on playa and we’ve been working together on and off since then. He has already helped point me in the right general direction for this project.

He came up with the above quote during our first conversation about Tsewa, and I’ve blatantly fliched as the tag line of the project.

“There never was any heart truly great and generous, that was not also tender and compassionate.” ~Robert Frost

I have also had a lot of help already from Laura and Tim Kukulski. They helped brainstorm the original information for the letter of intent, and have helped flesh out the details since then. They’ve reassured me when I’ve panicked, and encouraged me to get my hands dirty with models. Laura drew the art for the letter of intent and the proposal.
